Great Grandma Says, "See the world in a grain of sand!

About this book

In 1803 (published in 1863) William Blake wrote: "To see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wildflower . . . Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour." And our heroine's great grandma told her simply to 'see the world in a grain of sand'. And our heroine, not knowing what her great Grandma meant, decides to ask the elephant and others what they think about what her great grandma said. And in the end, our heroine figures it out all by herself!Think about what you think our heroine's great grandma meant, as you practice reading skills and build reading word vocabulary through word recognition, word repetition and rhyme, all of which you will find on the pages of this fun, 'learn to read' book written and illustrated by award winning author, attorney and former teacher, Penelope Dyan. But most of all, have fun as you learn; because learning must be (and should always be) fun, or a kid like you just won't love to learn!
