About this book

The book of revelation - ZEUSSED! - THE APOCALYPSE FOR (BIG) KIDS.The mysterious Book of Revelation decoded and explained like never before. Meet our hero John who survives being boiled in oil by a wicked Emperor. Marvel at the visions he has while exiled on the Island of Patmos. Encounter weird creatures with very strange features and a veritable feast of uncommonly strange beasts. Using seventeen woodcuts by Albrecht Dürer and with homage to Dr Seuss, this is a feast for the mind and eye.The Book of Revelation has attracted interpretations from many of the world's greatest writers and thinkers. D H Lawrence, Isaac Newton and Emmanuel Swedenborg to name but three. A fair share of crackpots have also had a go at unlocking its mysteries. Sadly Theodore Geisel, Dr Seuss never got around to it. Until now.Bob Prophette is a Priest, Bookie and Judge. Author of A Bank's Progress: A Tale of Greed and Ineptitude (a retelling of the UK Banking Crisis using Hogarth's Rake's Progress) and numerous other unusual books, Bob's work as an author is mainly cultural appropriation. Bob's other work focuses on satirical installations and street theatre: including metaphysical gambling, apocalyptic shopping and the world's first Museum of Debt.Over 70 pages (8400 words) with 16 hand-coloured images, Bob's version of the Book of Revelation uses Dr Seuss style verse and heavenly conversation to weave together the powerful narrative that Revelation holds. Presenting it as it was meant to be understood: A RESISTANCE MANUAL FOR THOSE LIVING IN THE EVIL EMPIRE.
