Prayers to Saint Joachim for Urgent Requests

About this book

According to Christian tradition dating back to the 2nd century, Saint Joachim, a devout man from Nazareth or Jerusalem, was married to Saint Anne. After years of marriage without children-which was considered a sign of divine disapproval-Joachim withdrew into the desert to fast and pray for 40 days. An angel announced to him that he would have a daughter, Mary, destined to be blessed by all generations. Despite their advanced age, Joachim and Anne gave birth to Mary, who became the Mother of Jesus, a testimony of faith and trust in divine promises.Since ancient times, the faithful have sought the intercession of Saint Joachim because of his powerful connection to urgent petitions, especially in times of family or personal hardship. His example of perseverance and devotion has made him the patron of parents, grandparents, and married couples. In 1906, Pope Pius X granted an indulgence of 300 days for invoking "Saint Joachim, husband of Saint Anne and father of the Blessed Virgin," reinforcing his role as an intercessor in Catholic tradition. This book gathers 25 carefully selected prayers to invoke Saint Joachim in situations of urgent or desperate need. It includes inspiring biblical passages, historical images, spaces to write personal intentions, and a powerful 9-day novena to seek the intercession of Saint Joachim and Saint Anne. This text is a spiritual guide for those who wish to strengthen their faith and find comfort in devotion to these saints, patrons of family and grandparents.
