Prayers to Our Lady of Lourdes for Healing

About this book

"Prayers to Our Lady of Lourdes for Healing" unravels the celestial story of Our Lady of Lourdes, an emblem of divine grace and healing power in the Catholic faith. At the heart of Lourdes, France, the Virgin Mary's apparitions to Bernadette Soubirous in 1858 marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey of faith, culminating in the discovery of a miraculous spring. This event, recognized and celebrated by successive Popes, including Pius IX, who canonically crowned the image, and Pope Pius XI, who canonized Bernadette, has drawn millions to seek solace and healing. "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20) encapsulates the essence of divine intervention and the miraculous healings attributed to the venerated spring waters at Lourdes. Authored by Saul Cross, a distinguished translator of Catholic texts and creator of numerous prayer books, this collection bridges centuries of Marian devotion with the contemporary search for spiritual, mental, and physical healing. With notable works like "The Treatise on Purgatory" by Saint Catherine and "The Story of a Soul" to his credit, Cross's latest endeavor presents 25 carefully crafted prayers and a powerful novena, invoking Our Lady of Lourdes's intercession for healing. Enriched with biblical verses and accompanied by poignant images of Our Lady, this book offers a beacon of hope for those in search of comfort and renewal. "Prayers to Our Lady of Lourdes for Healing" is a pilgrimage in print, a journey to the heart of Marian devotion and divine mercy. From "A Whisper for Spiritual Renewal" to "A Bouquet of Gratitude in the Field of Entitlement," each prayer resonates with the profound love and mercy of Our Lady of Lourdes. Travel on this spiritual voyage with Saul Cross as your guide, and discover the transformative power of prayer and faith in the face of life's trials and tribulations.
