100 Prayers for Depression and Overthinking

About this book

If you have ever laid awake at night while your mind ran through the same loop for the hundredth time - this book is for you. If you have ever smiled through a hard day while drowning on the inside - this book is for you. If you have ever felt completely alone in a room full of people, or stopped believing things could get better, or been too exhausted to even want anything anymore - this book is for you. 100 Prayers for Depression and Overthinking is not a collection of polished, everything-is-fine prayers. These are 100 raw, deeply honest, full-length conversations with a God who is not afraid of the darkness inside your mind. Every prayer was written for the person who is fighting something that most people cannot see - the heaviness that does not lift, the thoughts that will not stop, the lies that have been running so long they feel like facts, and the hope that has quietly gone somewhere you cannot find it. Written by Brittany Johnson of Decoded Faith Empire, this book covers every dimension of depression and overthinking across 10 powerful sections: When the Depression Is Heaviest, The Overthinking Mind, When You Cannot Get Out of Bed, The Lies Depression Tells You, When You Feel Completely Alone, Breaking the Anxiety and Rumination Cycle, When You Have Lost All Hope, Healing the Root of the Depression, Strength to Keep Going One More Day, and Declarations of Light and Life Over Your Mind. These prayers are longer than most. That is intentional. The mind that deals with depression and overthinking needs more than a quick sentence before moving on. It needs to stay in the prayer long enough for something to shift. Read slowly. Say your own situation into every word. Come back as many times as you need to. This book will never tell you that prayer is a substitute for professional help - it will tell you to get both. These prayers and a good therapist are not in competition. Use everything available to you. Pray these one hundred prayers and get the real help your real brain actually needs. Your mind was not made for permanent darkness. Keep praying.
