About this book

Reading Zhang Qiusheng's fairy tales, it's hard to tell whether he is writing fairy tales or poems. A seemingly casual poem reads like a naturally beautiful fairy tale; a loosely structured fairy tale, when you grasp its essence, reads like a delightful poem. Stepping into this small palm feels like entering a magical big world. Here you will find not only various animal friends - the Blue Fox, Little Bear, Rabbit, Lion, Elephant, and many others - but also witches, sprites, and more. They all live together in this palm-sized fairy tale world, encouraging one another and growing up together. Sometimes we hold our breath, afraid that danger might come; sometimes we clutch our stomachs laughing so hard; and sometimes we are moved to tears despite ourselves. Slowly, this is how we grow up.
