Fate's Run

About this book

EMERY and Neeta may have survived the sinking of the Lark, but the two have grown apart. Left alone, Emery is taken under the wing of the paranormal agency Goldfinch. Watched over by the vampire Wick Farley, and the patronizing Agent Sterling, his first mission takes him aboard the self-driving Arion Express, in pursuit of a mysterious entity known only as the Lady. But fate has plans for the estranged pair, whose paths cross again aboard the Arion. Neeta's new employer is none other than the Lady herself, and she comes with a dire warning: stay away from Wick Farley. As the train races through the Austrian mountains, apparitions appear to terrify its passengers, and the Arion is not slowing down. Emery must quickly decide who to trust, and he can't afford to get it wrong. A single mistake could haunt him forever. Taylor Robin's bold brushstrokes and exhilarating explosions of color will carry readers along in this unstoppable follow-up to the critically acclaimed Hunger's Bite.
