Wen lives with her grandmother in a land of fairy tales. She has never seen the world outside her home and the magical barrier that protects them. One day, a mysterious prince collapses just beyond the barrier and Wen crosses over it to help him. In the confusion, a strange boy and his flock of ravens descend and abduct Wen's grandmother. Wen decides to travel with her newfound friend, Prince Corliss, and his trusty companion Theo the swallow, on a quest to save her grandmother. When the crew arrives at the Star Garden, Wen believes their long search has finally come to an end--until they realize the garden is empty. Wen's grandmother and the Morning Star are nowhere to be seen, and for the first time, Wen feels hopeless. But when a familiar light finds them, they are led to Lune--the Man of the Moon. After saving Wen and Corliss from a run-in with the raven boy, Lune invites them back to Moon Manor. After Wen, Corliss, and Lune realize their cursed pasts are connected to one mysterious man, the crew and their new bear friend Armell set off on a journey to Fabletown for more answers.
