St. Joseph was a humble, hardworking man chosen by God to be the earthly father of Jesus and the husband of Mary. Even though he does not speak a single word in the Bible, St. Joseph's actions show us his strong faith, love, and obedience to God. Joseph was a carpenter, which means he made things from wood. He taught Jesus this trade, working every day to provide for his family. His love for Jesus and Mary shows us how important family is and reminds us to take care of the people we love.An angel appeared to Joseph in a dream, telling him that Mary would have a special child, Jesus, who would save the world. Joseph trusted God and listened to the angel, even though he did not understand everything. Later, he protected Mary and Jesus by taking them to Egypt to keep them safe.As a faithful man, St. Joseph obeyed God without hesitation, always trusting in His plan. Because of his strength, humility, and love, he is the patron saint of the Catholic Church and of families, workers, and fathers.St. Joseph teaches us to listen to God, to be kind and hardworking, and to love and protect our family. He is a wonderful example of living a holy life close to Jesus.
