Divided

About this book

Every one of us lives with tension - the tug-of-war between the two of us living in all of us.In DIVIDED, Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer gets real, raw, and deeply relatable as he opens up about his own struggles with pride, anger, and failure while chasing God's purpose. Through humor, honesty, and hard-learned wisdom, Lahmeyer invites readers to drop the mask, confront the "dark me" that keeps surfacing, and experience the transforming power of grace. This is not a polished preacher's pep talk-it's a gut-level, heart-to-heart conversation about what it means to follow Jesus when life gets messy.Drawing from the lives of biblical characters like Peter, Jacob and Paul, Lahmeyer shows that even the greatest heroes of faith had moments of weakness, doubt, and defeat. He unpacks the difference between remorse and repentance, explores how belief shapes behavior, and reveals how identity-not effort-is the key to lasting transformation. With vivid stories, relatable honesty, and the truth of Scripture, he reminds us that God isn't looking for the perfect version of you-He's after the real you. Because the moment you get real with God is the moment He starts making you new.If you've ever felt like you're living two lives-the public you that looks strong and the private you that's barely hanging on-this book is for you. DIVIDED will help you see that failure isn't final, temptation isn't sin, and your past doesn't disqualify your purpose. You'll laugh, you'll be challenged, and you'll find hope in the God who meets you where you are but never leaves you there. Honest, gritty, and full of grace, this book will inspire you to feed the right wolf, renew your mind, and finally live as the "you" God designed you to be.
