Mikey's Mighty Voice

About this book

A faith-inspired children's picture book about a little monkey who learns that his small, shaky voice is not his weakness -- it is the beginning of his greatest gift. For ages 3-8. Mikey the Purple Monkey has something to say, but his words come out tangled and shaky. They trip and tumble and never sound the way he wants them to. When the other kids laugh and tease, Mikey feels small. He wishes he could disappear. But Mikey's teacher sees something the others don't. She tells him his voice is like a mustard seed -- small at first, but made to grow strong. With patience, practice, and faith, Mikey discovers that his struggles are not his weakness. They are the beginning of his greatest gift. This beautifully illustrated picture book gently addresses speech differences, bullying, and the courage it takes to keep trying when things feel hard. Rooted in Christian values and the parable of the mustard seed, it reminds every child that they are wonderfully made by God. This book helps children: Build confidence in their voice Embrace differences with kindness Understand perseverance and courage See themselves as wonderfully made Perfect for families, classrooms, bedtime reading, and speech therapy waiting rooms. A meaningful gift for any child who needs to hear that their voice matters -- and for the parents, teachers, and caregivers who believe it too. Full-color illustrations throughout. Part of the Mikey the Purple Monkey series by Michael Mason.
