Grandma + Me, By Design

About this book

Grandma + Me, By Design: Sensory Travel Tales of Granddaughters with Their Grandmas follows five young women as they journey with their grandmothers. Some travel across the world, others visit a grandmother's home, and one explores New York City together with her grandmother. Each journey is unique, but every one offers an opportunity to see the world-and each other-through new eyes.Along the way, the granddaughters begin noticing changes in their grandmothers' senses and discover how those changes affect everyday life. As their understanding grows, they sketch thoughtful ideas that could make homes and daily living safer, more comfortable, and more accessible for older adults.Blending graphic storytelling with travel, family relationships, and interior design, Grandma + Me, By Design celebrates curiosity, empathy, and the power of thoughtful design to improve the lives of the people we love.
