The Broken

About this book

Sadie Thompson is a certified perfectionist in everything that she does: sports, school, even friendship. It serves her well, until it doesn't. All too often, she gets stuck inside the tangled web that is her brain. Her solace: softball and the waters of the Broken River. She cannot imagine a life without either.Becca Scott, newly minted teenager, full of joy, fun and bits of anxiety, is learning how to traverse the tumultuous waters of middle school life. From friendships and sports to awkward feelings and injuries, she is experiencing it all and has very little understanding of how to navigate those emotional rapids. In this coming of age story, full of friendship, heartache and hope, Sadie and Becca learn who they are in God's eyes and how to lean on Him through the good and the bad. Theirs is a journey not so unlike many of ours.
