Bold and Broken (revisited)

About this book

The world doesn't need bullies or bystanders. It needs bridges. We are living in a cultural firestorm. Truth is under attack, lies are celebrated, and believers are pressured to either cave in silence or explode in rage. On one side is the ditch of reckless boldness-people who thunder with truth but have no love. On the other side is the ditch of passive brokenness-those who weep over sin but never stand against it. Both leave the world more divided than before. But there is a better way. Boldness anchored in brokenness. Courage wrapped in compassion. Truth spoken through tears. That's how believers become bridges-connecting heaven and earth, God and people. In Bold & Broken, David and Jason Benham call believers everywhere to rise and "stand in the gap" (Ezekiel 22:30). Originally released in 2019, this updated edition revisits that urgent message in light of recent events-including the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk-that have shaken our nation and revealed the cost of standing for truth. Through powerful stories, biblical insight, and their own battle scars from cultural clashes, the Benhams show how you can: Resist destructive ideas without becoming destructive yourselfStand firm in truth while reaching out in loveTurn conviction into courage and compassion into connectionLive as a bridge in a culture desperate for hopeThis is not a time to retreat. It's not a time to rage. It's a time to rise. To fight in the war of ideas with bold courage and broken humility-knowing we don't fight for victory but from victory. The world is watching. The gap is widening. But the church is strengthening! The call has never been louder: Be the bridge. Stand in the gap. Now.
