Ruin of Souls

About this book

Pope Leo XIII experienced a terrifying vision in 1884, inspiring him to pen the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel: "By the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander about the world seeking the ruin of souls."For decades, these words concluded every Catholic Mass worldwide. In 1994, Pope John Paul II called for the prayer's revival, urging believers to arm themselves once more. The novella Ruin of Souls imagines the forgotten battle behind history's most famous spiritual defense: a clash of faith and ancient power that forged the Vatican's most unlikely protector._____Long before the prayer was written, the war was fought in the shadows.A Vatican priest and a mysterious nun race against time to stop a cursed man from fulfilling an ancient prophecy. From a blood-stained palace in Lisbon to the desolate peaks of Norway and the heart of the Sistine Chapel, their mission hinges on rejecting a power that has corrupted kings and warriors for millennia.Together, they must stand against the wickedness and snares of the devil, lest the world suffer not merely destruction, but the ruin of souls.
