The Hush

About this book

Elias Miller built his family a fortress. He never expected the greatest threat to come from within his own body.Diagnosed with ALS and losing control of his hands, his feet, his voice--Elias refuses to let his failing body be the end of his story. What starts as one dying man's warning becomes something the whole valley cannot ignore. His daughters don't agree on how to protect what's left. His wife holds the house together in silence. And at the edge of their land, a mist called the Hush moves with a will of its own--punishing those who come with the wrong intentions, and protecting those who don't.But faith and preparation can only hold a family together for so long. When the outside world runs out of options, it starts looking at the Ridge--not as a threat, but as a resource to be claimed.Elias built this place to survive collapse. Now he has to decide what he's willing to lose to keep it standing.A story about faith tested by failing flesh, family loyalty under pressure, and what it costs to hold onto something worth protecting. Step onto the Ridge and see if it holds.
