Who He Is

About this book

We all experience heartache in some way. We also all long for someone to heal, protect, and fight for us in the hardest moments of our lives. If you know God, then you know that he is the only true source of hope and peace in this fallen world. And intimately knowing who he is will help you know who to call on when you need him the most. The author wrote down the words in this book five years after the tragic loss of a precious daughter, but God had been writing them on her heart from the beginning. She wanted to share how God used the promises of these names to carry her through her darkest grief. Her prayer is that this devotional book will encourage you to look closely at your hurt and sorrow through the lenses of a few biblical names of God. God reveals his character and attributes in his Word not to brag about his immeasurable power and supreme sovereignty but so that we can know who he is and trust that he is fully capable of guiding us through the heartaches this world will inevitably bring.Reading these devotionals will remind you that there is nothing Rapha cannot heal. That there is no time when Tsuri will not cover you with protection. That every fear from the enemy is no match for Shalom. That no one is too broken for Ga'al to redeem. And that there is no chance that Yahweh can't work out every detail of your life. "Magnify the name of the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!" (Psalm 34:3 ESV).
