Defining Grace

About this book

Are you searching for greater meaning, purpose, or a deeper sense of belonging? Have you ever wondered, What am I here to do? or Where do I go from here?In this inspiring memoir, Trish Passmore Alley invites readers along the winding path of her life-a journey marked not by certainty but by a quiet, guiding force she calls Grace. Once labeled a "slow learner" who was unlikely to finish high school, Alley defied expectations by earning an MBA, founding three nonprofits, and becoming a member of the Founders Circle of the Obama Foundation. Defining Grace traces Alley's improbable journey of discovering her purpose-exploring how she found her true voice and dared to use it to bring hope and courage to people in pursuit of a world guided more by love than fear.Told through intimate vignettes and interwoven with soulful poetry, Defining Grace is an invitation to attune to Grace's quiet wisdom and to love ourselves and one another more deeply. Each chapter offers gentle prompts for reflection, encouraging readers to listen for Grace's presence in their own lives and perhaps discover their own power and new possibilities along the way.Deeply personal and universally resonant, Defining Grace is for anyone seeking greater purpose, deeper connection, or the courage to live authentically. Perfect for fans of Coming of Age: My Journey to the Eighties by Governor Madeleine May Kunin and The Book of Awakening by Mark Nepo.
