Willard's Leap of Faith

About this book

Mother Mallard Duck has just welcomed her seven newly hatched ducklings into the world. Now, they must learn to walk, swim and know what it means to be a duck by watching and following their mother's every move. However, when it comes to swimming, the smallest duckling, Willard, will not follow his mother or siblings into the water because he is afraid. In this story, author Terry Van Tuyle teaches children that there will come times that we are afraid to do something, yet with a bit of encouragement, and a little inner courage, we can take a leap of faith to overcome most fears, finding that we are stronger than we thought we were or that we have discovered something that is new and exciting that brings us pleasure.Terry Van Tuyle lives in Maine with her husband and son. Her B.A. in art education was intended for teaching elementary students, but after her fourth child was born, she found her life's calling was as a wife and a teacher to her own brood. With her teacher's heart, she is able to share with fun and imagination some of life's most important lessons. She has a Facebook page under the title; "Light the Way Books" where all her books titles can be found.
