Bella Butterfly and the Perfect Day

About this book

For Bella the butterfly, every day is an adventure. But no adventure is complete without a moment for mindfulness. It's a beautiful, sunny day, and Bella Butterfly can't wait to see what's in store. Ready for adventure, she takes off for one of her favorite spots. How will she feel once she's in her happy place? From the beach to the forest, Bella experiences a feast for the senses, and as she moves from one soothing locale to another, she discovers nature can be incredibly relaxing. By basking in the therapeutic sights and sounds of the great outdoors, Bella illustrates a healthy way to quiet the mind after a busy day. While reading to her students to help them prepare for rest time, author McCala McDonald was inspired to pen her own book to teach children how to unwind by practicing mindfulness. In Bella Butterly and the Perfect Day, McDonald facilitates mindfulness moments for a calming bedtime routine by introducing readers to the fundamentals of meditation and inspires children to envision their own magical spaces for finding tranquility.
