We Are Perfect, That's Right!

About this book

We Are Perfect, That's Right! is the heartwarming story about a little toddler boy, Riley, and his older special needs sister, Madelyn, who are best friends. They play and live life a little different from other neurotypical families. But that only brings them even closer. Madelyn loves looking for the moon. It is something that has always caught her attention since she was a toddler herself. She also has some sensory issues that make life scary for her. For example, loud noises, crowded places, and dentist appointments can really overwhelm her. Riley understands her fears and feelings and guides and calms her through these difficult times. Riley and Madelyn learn from each other. Madelyn as the older sister teaches Riley how to do many things, like how to use the potty, while Riley shows Madelyn how to be brave and that she can rely on him. Through it all, they look out for each other. They share a perfect, special bond that no one else truly understands. Readers of all genders, neurotypical/neurodivergent families of young children, families with one child with a sibling on the way, and children up to six years of age will enjoy and find comfort in this inspirational story about the unbreakable bond between two siblings and how they navigate life together.
