Take to the Skies

About this book

A vintage airplane. A lightning storm. A rescue at the edge of danger. Through stories of courage and history, Mr. Howard taught Jonathan and Robert Wright about life and family. He also taught them how to fly using his vintage seaplane. Now accomplished pilots, the Wright Cousins are using the old plane to search for an airplane that vanished in the nearby mountains during World War 2. While closing in on a clue, a lightning storm sweeps in. The mountains erupt into flames. Friends are trapped. And suddenly the cousins aren't just solving a mystery-they're racing to save lives. Can the old plane survive the storm-and can the Wright Cousins rescue their friends before the flames reach them? The engine is running. The firestorm is coming. Take to the skies! For readers who love airplanes, mysteries, rescues, technology, adventure, clever kids, family, and clean humor. A fast-paced, family-friendly middle-grade adventure for ages 8-14.
