50 Days to Embracing (and Enjoying) Who God Says You Are

About this book

Eric Geiger, author and senior pastor of Mariners Church, teams up with his teen-aged daughter Eden to bring teens the definitive daily devotional on finding their true identity.Teens are constantly barraged by cultural messages that lead them to believe that their identity is based on a plethora of external factors like a pair of shoes, "core" styles of fashion, genres of music, and any number of activities and interests. All this energy reflects an attempt to find the identity that fits them the best. This book helps teens to embrace and enjoy the identity God has uniquely instilled in them: an identity that is better than anything the world offers them, one they receive through God's grace alone. The best part is that no one has to achieve this identity in Christ on their own--or adapt to fit the world's expectations of their individuality. They can rest in God's help to discover who they really are and who he made them to be.In this seven-week devotional, father and daughter authors Eric and Eden Geiger offer perspectives as a pastor-parent and as a teenager on who God says we are according to his Word.Perfect for youth groups and young adult Bible studies, the format for each day of this teen devotional is: Scripture Passage From Eric (Adult to Teen) From Eden (Teen to Teen) Reflection & Discussion Questions Don't let the world try to force you to be something you weren't meant to be. Let the Father who loves you most reveal who he intended you to be through His Spirit and His Word. Instead of fighting to fit in, find yourself embracing who you are at your core . . . and ENJOYING your true identity!
