About this book

At thirty-four years old, Celeste is a pharmacist, a Christian, the wife of a loving husband, and the mother of three beautiful children. She is living her American Dream-life feels full, blessed, and nearly perfect. But without warning, everything changes. At a children's birthday party, Celeste collapses into a grand mal seizure, the first in a series of events that will consume her life physically, emotionally, and spiritually. As more seizures follow, Celeste endures broken bones, prescription drug addiction, surgery, severe depression, unrelenting insomnia, and a devastating loss of identity as a wife and mother. Her world shatters. She cannot understand why God would allow such suffering or how she can possibly survive it. Can she discover the cause of her seizure? Can she overcome the grip of addiction, the shame, and the isolation that have taken over her life? Will her marriage endure? Will her children ever truly have their mother back? As you walk through Celeste's journey, you will gain a deeper understanding of the human heart-its breaking, its healing, and its hope. And along the way, you might find redemption in your own story or the insight to help someone you love.
