Tablets of My Heart

About this book

What do you do when trust shatters and your faith is the only thing left standing? Tablets of My Heart is the unforgettable memoir of Mary Pitts, a woman whose life was turned upside down when her childhood sweetheart, her husband and the father of their children, was exposed as one of the FBI's most notorious pedophiles. Raised in a devout Christian home where obedience, honor, and forgiveness were daily principles, Mary had to confront the deepest betrayal imaginable. Her journey through spiritual trauma, divorce, and emotional devastation is a raw and faith-filled testament to the power of God's healing love. Through it all, one Bible verse became her lifeline: "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:14, KJV) This verse not only kept her grounded but also became a spiritual mantra that fueled her forward, even as her world unraveled. Rooted in scripture and sustained by the spiritual discipline of prayer, fasting, and worship, Mary's story speaks directly to survivors of abuse, women of faith navigating broken marriages, and anyone struggling to reclaim trust in the aftermath of betrayal. She shares not only the emotional depths of loss but also the sacred breakthroughs that followed, showing how God can restore even the most shattered heart. As Emory W. Pitts, Lt. Col., US Army Reserve (Ret), writes: "This book, written by my dear wife, is a commentary on today's culture and should be read by all parents who love their children. It is a heart-warming story that is both inspiring and ugly to even think that 'man's inhumanity to man' could manifest itself in such a way toward the innocent and unsuspecting." This Christian memoir offers an honest look at religious trauma, forgiveness, and resilience through a woman's deeply personal lens. If you are searching for a faith-based story of courage, healing, and spiritual growth, Tablets of My Heart will guide you toward restoration and hope. Let Mary's powerful testimony inspire you to press on and trust again.
