Lost Diary Pages

About this book

Lost Diary Pages by Jessica Fuller is a deeply evocative collection of poetry and prose that weaves together fragmented moments of self-discovery, resilience, and transformation. Written by poet and nonfiction author Jessica Fuller, this collection tells a series of stories that unapologetically declare, "I am irrepressible."As a North Carolina native, a mother of three, and a dedicated special education teacher, Jessica has long recognized the power of words in shaping both personal and collective experiences. From the age of 11, she knew that writing and teaching were integral to her life's purpose, and Lost Diary Pages is a testament to that journey.Following the literary style of her 2023 publication, A Different Kind of Rising, Jessica employs a nonlinear narrative, leaving reflections like breadcrumbs for readers to follow. She masterfully blends fairytale motifs with disarranged diary-like entries from youth and adulthood, illustrating the complexities of personal growth, societal norms, and self-acceptance.Drawing inspiration from cinematic classics such as Alice in Wonderland and Fly Away Home, Jessica infuses her work with a sense of surreal epiphany while paying tribute to literary icons including Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Audre Lorde, and Evie Shockley. Each page serves as an intimate dialogue between past and present, guiding readers through the universal themes of pain, healing, and liberation.Jessica Fuller is also the voice behind Jusjess Poetry, a blog she launched in 2022 as a space for poetic exploration and self-expression. Through her writing, she boldly proclaims, "I am writing my way into my destiny." Readers can explore more of her work at https: //jusjesspoetry.org.For those who cherish poetry that is both raw and reflective, Lost Diary Pages is a must-read-an unfiltered glimpse into the beautifully chaotic nature of self-reckoning and triumph.
