It's common for children to struggle with obedience, whether it be arguing, making excuses, or only partially completing tasks. As parents, it's our responsibility to teach our children the value of obedience, helping them understand its significance in their relationship with God. By teaching children the deeper meaning of obedience, we're not only fostering a sense of responsibility and accountability in them but also nurturing their spiritual growth. By helping them understand that obedience is a way to show love and respect for God, they're more likely to willingly and happily comply with rules and guidelines set for them. Additionally, understanding the reasons behind obedience can help them see the bigger picture and understand how their actions have consequences not only in their own lives but also in the lives of others. Through genuine biblical obedience, children learn to prioritize their relationship with God above all else, leading them to make decisions that align with His will and purpose for their lives. This foundation equips them to navigate the challenges and temptations of the world with grace and strength, knowing that they are guided by a higher power and for a greater purpose. Moreover, instilling these values early on builds a strong moral compass that will serve them well into adulthood. As they grow, lessons of obedience and respect form the bedrock of their character, influencing their choices and actions in every aspect of their lives. God has a lot to say about obedience, and in this 6-week, 30-day biblical study, your child will learn what true obedience is and why it's significant in their relationship with God. They will be challenged to examine their thoughts and actions as they learn how, when, and why they should obey, as well as the consequences of disobedience. This study will equip your child with the tools that God provides to help them obey even when it is difficult. Through this journey in scripture, your child will be empowered to trust and follow God's guidance with obedience that comes straight from the heart. This study is specifically designed for children aged 7-12 and is structured in a way that gradually expands on different dimensions of obedience each day. If your child is between the ages of 7-9, it is recommended that you complete this study together with them. However, for children aged 10-12, it is recommended to allow them to complete the study independently. You can then review their daily progress, discuss any important points, and offer additional guidance if needed. The Bible verses referenced in this study are from the NIV translation. Please note that this study is a consumable resource, so if you have multiple children participating, each child will require their own separate book. From the Heart offers separate books for children and teens to enable families to engage in studying God's Word together. While both books cover the same topics, they are customized to suit different age groups, incorporating age-appropriate vocabulary, questions, and answers.
