Faith's Downslide Journey To Hope

About this book

Some journeys begin before you even take your first breath.Faith arrives in the world on a beautiful New England day, born to a frightened fourteen-year-old girl and placed into the arms of a loving Christian couple who have prayed for a child just like her. Raised on a ten-acre farm nestled among mountains, sugar maples, and a creek that sings at the edge of the property, she grows up surrounded by animals she adores, a church family that nurtures her, and grandparents whose dairy farm becomes her second home. But life on the hilltop is not as sheltered as it seems. At five, Faith suffers her first loss. On her sixth birthday, she stumbles upon the secret of her adoption that no one meant for her to find. As she moves from the safety of homeschooling into the wider world of public school, rejection and heartbreak follow. The girl who once sang hymns with unshakable certainty begins to question everything she has been taught to believe.Faith's downslide is quiet at first, then devastating. The choices she makes carry consequences no one saw coming, not her parents, not her church, and especially not Faith herself. Yet even in the darkest valley, a stubborn, Christ-lit hope refuses to be extinguished. This is not a story where everything is perfect and glamorous. This is a story about a real girl facing real pain, and the faith that will either break her or bring her home.
