Bentley & the Builder Boys

About this book

They thought they were just building a birdhouse. But in the paint spatters, sawdust, and clatter of woodshop, Bentley and the Builder Boys discover that God is crafting something much bigger-a house of prayer inside their hearts. When a real construction site springs up nearby, the boys trade their clubhouse dreams for front-row seats to the building of a home-and a whole new way of talking with God. Alongside Mr. Everett, Bentley's wise and down-to-earth dad, they learn that every part of a house has a spiritual lesson, from the solid foundation of faith to the wiring that keeps them connected to God. Full of humor, heart, and real conversations, this story invites boys ages 9-12 to explore prayer in a way that's active, adventurous, and real-life situation. With friendship, a few bandaged thumbs, and some unforgettable life lessons, Bentley and the Builder Boys will help young readers build a house of prayer as they begin laying the framework for a lifelong walk with God.
