Joshua, Be Strong

About this book

On the edge of the promised land, an old leader looked back on a lifetime of guiding his people and asked who would care for them when he was gone. The answer came not in thunder or storm but in the quiet naming of a faithful helper. What followed was a moment of trust and courage as the people gathered to watch a new leader step forward. Children will walk with Joshua as he stands before Moses, the priest, and the entire camp. They will see hands laid upon him, hear the words of encouragement, and feel the weight of what it means to take on a task bigger than yourself. The story unfolds with hope, showing that strength does not come from might alone but from God's presence. With warmth and vivid detail, this retelling draws families into the desert camp where change was both tender and powerful. It celebrates bravery, humility, and the gift of stepping into a calling with confidence. Young readers will find in Joshua a figure they can look up to, a reminder that courage grows strongest when it leans on faith.
