Under Your Humility, Mother

About this book

The Virgin Mary is the perfect model of the soul that lives totally for God. Her humility, her obedience, and her silent fidelity made the Incarnation possible, reflected in her words: "let it be done to me according to your word." In Under Your Humility, Mother: A Path of Humility with the Virgin Mary, the reader is invited to contemplate Mary as an interior guide on the path of surrender, trust, and the spiritual life. Many spiritual authors-such as Saint Bernard of Clairvaux and Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort-teach that devotion to Mary is a privileged path toward humility. She keeps nothing for herself, but refers everything to God; therefore, whoever draws near to her heart also learns to empty himself, to obey with love, and to grow in a faith that is purer, simpler, and deeper. Inspired by traditional devotion to the Virgin Mary, this book brings together a collection of Marian prayers directed toward the pursuit of humility, accompanied by biblical quotations, spaces for noting personal intentions, and a novena of love and humility. It is a work intended for those who desire to deepen their relationship with God with the help of the Mother of Jesus and to find in her consolation, example, and spiritual aid.
