Korby the Hedgehog

About this book

Korby the Hedgehog: Who Is Jesus? is a Scripture-centered children's story that helps young readers ages 3-8 understand one of life's most important questions: Who is Jesus? In this 26-page, beautifully illustrated book, with 46 Bible references within the story, Korby sits inside on a quiet, rainy day and asks Nana a simple but powerful question. What follows is a calm, clear conversation that walks through the life and identity of Jesus in a way children can understand. The story begins with Jesus' miraculous birth, explaining that although He came into the world as a baby, He existed long before. Children are introduced to the truth that Jesus is the Word, that He was with God and is God from the beginning. Nana carefully explains that Jesus is both the Son of Man, who lived among people, and the Son of God, who is perfect and without sin.As the story unfolds, children see who Jesus is through what He did. His miracles are presented simply and clearly, including healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, calming storms, feeding thousands, and raising the dead. Each moment connects His actions to His identity. The book also introduces the "I AM" statements of Jesus in a way that makes sense to young readers. Jesus is the bread of life, the living water, the light of the world, and the way, the truth, and the life. These truths are explained in practical, relatable terms. The story gently moves into the cross, explaining that Jesus was rejected and crucified, yet gave His life willingly. It then leads to the resurrection, showing that He rose again on the third day and is alive.Rather than ending in the past, the story brings the focus to the present. Using 2 Corinthians 13:5, Nana explains that Jesus is not far away, but present-that Jesus Christ is in you. This gives children a simple way to begin thinking about what they are learning.Every key statement in the book is supported directly by Scripture (ESV), making it a strong choice for families who want clear biblical teaching. The language is simple, the structure is steady, and each page builds understanding step by step.Part of the Korby the Hedgehog series, this book is designed to help children understand important truths in a practical, faith-based way. It is well suited for bedtime reading, homeschool use, family Bible time, and church settings.Korby the Hedgehog: Who Is Jesus? gives young readers a clear, Scripture-based foundation for understanding who Jesus is, what He has done, and why it matters.
