About this book

Already Done: Living in the Amen of the Kingdom is a transformative guide to prayer that shifts the believer's focus from "persuading" God to "participating" in His finished work. Author Frederick Perry Sr argues that prayer is often misunderstood as a task of striving or a discipline of effort to move heaven toward earth. Instead, he presents a biblical framework where prayer is an act of covenant alignment with the "Yes" God has already spoken through Jesus Christ. The core of the book explores the theological depth of the word Amen. Rather than being a mere liturgical ending or "punctuation" for prayer, Perry defines Amen as a lifestyle of settled agreement with heaven's established reality. Key Themes and Concepts The Position of the Believer: True confidence in prayer is not rooted in personality or intensity but in position. Because believers are "seated in heavenly places" with Christ, they do not pray toward victory but from it. Receiving Before Seeing: Faith is presented as agreement with God's established truth before it becomes visible in the physical realm. Perry uses the example of Jesus at the tomb of Lazarus, where thanksgiving preceded the manifestation of the miracle. The Threefold Movement of Amen: Using the Model Prayer (The Lord's Prayer), Perry outlines a structural movement for the believer: Posture: Beginning with relationship and reverence ("Our Father"). Practice: Actively aligning earth with heaven's will ("Your will be done"). Expression: Moving into daily dependence and trust for needs. Authority That Rests: The book clarifies that spiritual authority is "participatory" rather than independent. It is a "derived authority" that flows from union with Christ, leading to rest and peace rather than anxious striving. Living From Heaven Toward Earth: Perry encourages readers to adopt a "heavenly citizenship" perspective, interpreting earthly challenges through the lens of Christ's completed work.
