From Bored to Burning

About this book

Most Christians know they should read the Bible. Few actually feel excited to open it.For many people, Scripture feels confusing, distant, or simply boring. We read a few verses, close the book, and walk away unchanged. But what if the problem is not the Bible itself? What if the problem is that no one ever taught us how to read it?In From Bored to Burning, Dillon Johnson walks readers through a simple but powerful path to experiencing Scripture the way it was meant to be experienced. Using the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus as a guide, this book introduces practical methods that help readers approach the Bible with honesty, curiosity, clarity, and action.Instead of treating the Bible like a classroom assignment, this book shows how Scripture can become a living conversation with God. Readers will learn how to bring their real struggles before God, ask better questions of the text, recognize Jesus throughout the story of Scripture, and apply what they discover to everyday life. This is not a book about reading more Bible. It is a book about letting the Bible change you.If you have ever felt spiritually stuck, bored with Scripture, or unsure where to start, this book will help you move from routine religion to a faith that burns with life.Your Bible was never meant to feel lifeless. It was meant to set your heart on fire.
