Conforming to the Will of God

About this book

All perfection is love of God. This is how Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori expresses it in "Conforming to the Will of God: A Devotional Inspired by Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori." Perfect love means union of wills: to want what God wants. Saint Alphonsus distinguishes between conformity-accepting what God permits-and uniformity, that deeper step of uniting one's own will to the divine, desiring as one's own only what God has ordained. Learning to see everything under Providence and not falling into the interpretation of "chance" or human malice gives each day a sense of profound trust. This devotional is directly inspired by the writings of Saint Alphonsus, patron saint of confessors and a proven guide in the spiritual life, offering prayers and reflections that help transform every daily experience into an occasion of abandonment to the divine will. With inspiring examples, practical meditations, space for personal intentions, biblical quotes, and a special novena, the book becomes an ally for those seeking serenity, meaning, and growth amidst the trials and joys of everyday life. Enriched with traditional images and profound sayings from Saint Alphonsus and other saints, this devotional invites the reader to recognize the loving hand of God in every event. It is an indispensable tool for every Catholic who longs for peace, strength, and true perfection: to bring the prayer of Jesus-"Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"-from the heart into daily life.
