About this book

What if the person everyone gave up on became the greatest testimony of grace? Growing up in the hills of rural Pennsylvania, Mary Beth Kent was surrounded by the kind of family that laughed hard, worked harder, and leaned on faith through every season of life. Raised by a devoted Momma, six siblings learned that love wasn't measured by perfection but by showing up for one another when life unraveled. When tragedy struck, the family endured heartbreaking losses that forever changed them. One brother, known to everyone as Zippy, spent years caught in addiction, crime, homelessness, and prison. Time after time, hope seemed to slip away. This is a story of a mother's love that outlived her days on earth, of siblings who refused to stop believing, and of a man who discovered that no life is too broken for redemption. Through moments of humor, heartache, forgiveness and unexpected grace, Mary Beth shares an unforgettable journey that proves love can endure the deepest wounds. Written with warmth, honesty, and the unmistakable voice of a Southern storyteller, this memoir invites readers around the campfire to witness the beauty found in brokenness and the healing power of faith, family and second chances. For anyone who has loved someone battling addiction, mourned unimaginable loss, or longed to believe that redemption is still possible, this unforgettable memoir offers hope that the final chapter is not always the one we expect. Sometimes the greatest miracles begin where everyone else has stopped believing.
