Dr. Dime Presents The Littles of Zion

About this book

The Littles of Zion: The Big Beginning is a beautiful and faith-based children's book that makes Genesis' stories really tangible for young readers to remember and relate to. Designed for children ages 2-8, this interactive storyline takes the "Littles" through the very beginning of God's story from creation to the creation of His chosen people.Children are introduced to key biblical events in rhythmic form, from Adam & Eve in the Garden of Eden to God's promise to Abraham. As the story unfolds, familiar names appear such as Sarah, Isaac, Hagar, Ishmael, Jacob, Esau, Becca (Rebekah), Ben (Laban), Leah, Rachel, Dinah, Joseph and many others in a way that is both engaging and consistent with the Bible.Follow along with the Littles -watching, helping, responding- and live in the first book of the bible as it comes alive through their journey. Through this journey children can engage with the littles, through their expressive, childlike presence, in the subject matter of obedience, forgiveness, faith, and God's unconditional love. With such vivid illustrations, which take a shift from the bright wonder of creation to the darker, more reflective moments of hardship and redemption in Genesis, the book visually reinforces the emotional and spiritual journey in Genesis. Subtle biblical symbols (rainbows, stars, trees and glowing scrolls) are woven throughout the book to point children towards the central themes in each story. At its root, The Littles of Zion: The Big Beginning is about God's promises-how they are made, how they survive and how they mold His people. From Adam & Eve to Joseph and the twelve tribes, children will see God's plan is ongoing even in times of failure or fear, and that is what we know what God is doing with purpose and love. This book is ideal for bedtime reading, early faith development, home school, Sunday school and it gives a solid biblical foundation to build on and encourage curiosity, imagination, and faith in God's story-one that is still alive today.
