Ava the Almost Dachshund

About this book

Katrina and Kevin are overjoyed when they receive their little red dachshund puppy, Ginger. They all grow up together, playing, learning, and becoming best friends. But when Ginger has an accident, the twins learn that even the best-loved dogs don't live forever and are heartbroken. Then they learn that another dog, Ava, has lost her human. She is heartbroken too. She isn't exactly a dachshund, and she isn't Ginger, but Katrina and Kevin decide they want to give Ava a new home and a new family to love. And while they learn to love a new dog, their own hearts heal.
