23 Ivy Lane

About this book

One Day meets The Flatshare in this debut love story about two college housemates whose shared campus home--and tradition of mailing postcards there while away--keeps them tethered through the twists and turns of their twenties and thirties as life pulls them apart but always seems to lead them back to their favorite place--and to each other. A love that was never meant to happen...with the person who was always meant to be "Delicious and beautifully written. I adored it." --Sophie Cousens When Ava and Will meet at university, sparks do not fly. Yet from their first encounter at 23 Ivy Lane, a cozy red-brick house near campus, they can't seem to shake each other. By graduation, a surprising friendship has formed, along with a shared reluctance to move on from a place with so many memories. Enter their elderly landlady. Ready to sell and eager for the property to stay in loving hands, she offers it to them at a steep discount, with one condition: they uphold her tradition of sending postcards to the house whenever they are away, wherever they are in the world. One impulsive decision later, 23 Ivy Lane is theirs. As the years move Ava and Will in and out of each other's orbits, their friendship seems to cross into something more--only for life's twists and turns to pull it back again. But through it all, the postcards continue to arrive, each one drawing them closer to the undeniable truth: theirs is a love story worth writing home about.
