The Return of the Promised Messiah

About this book

The Return of the Promised Messiah is a witness of God's covenant promises unfolding in the last days before the return of Jesus Christ and the restoration of all things foretold by the prophets of God.From the beginning, ancient prophets testified of Jesus Christ-His creation, His covenant, His Atonement, His resurrection, and His promised return. They looked forward to a day when all things would be gathered together in Christ: scripture, priesthood authority, sacred covenants, temples, sealing power, Israel, and the family of God.This book brings together scripture, prophetic witness, Restoration history, and personal testimony to show that God has not forgotten His promises. The words of ancient prophets did not end in the past. They point toward the Restoration of all things in preparation for the coming of the Lord.In these pages, readers will consider: Jesus the Christ as Creator, Redeemer, resurrected Lord, and returning King. The unified witness of ancient prophets from Adam, Enoch, Abraham, and Moses to Isaiah, John, Nephi, Mormon, Moroni, and Joseph. The coming forth of the stick of Joseph-the Book of Mormon-as another witness of Jesus Christ and a companion witness with the stick of Judah, the Holy Bible. The Restoration of priesthood authority, prophetic keys, sacred covenants, temples, sealing power, and the gathering of Israel. The continuing invitation to read, ponder, ask God, receive the witness of the Holy Ghost, and stand as a witness of Christ. This book is for believers, seekers, and all who are willing to consider that God has spoken again, that ancient prophecy is still being fulfilled, and that the Restoration is preparing the earth for the return of Jesus Christ. We are in the last days. Have faith. The prophets have spoken. The Restoration is underway. The promised Messiah will return.
