Behold the Lamb

About this book

The wilderness is calling again. For two thousand years, the voice of Saint John the Baptist has thundered across history with one burning command: "Prepare ye the way of the Lord."Now, in this powerful 33-Day consecration journey, bestselling Catholic devotional author Jeff Callaway invites you into the desert beside the greatest prophet who ever lived - the man Jesus Christ Himself called the greatest born of women.BEHOLD THE LAMB: A Messianic Consecration Through Saint John the Baptist is not merely another devotional. It is a spiritual pilgrimage through repentance, surrender, prophetic truth, and radical preparation for Jesus Christ. This deeply Scriptural and profoundly Catholic consecration immerses readers in the life, mission, spirituality, and fiery witness of Saint John the Baptist - the Forerunner of the Messiah, the Voice crying in the wilderness, the Friend of the Bridegroom, and the martyr who decreased so Christ could increase.Over the course of thirty-three days, readers will journey through six transformative phases: - The miraculous birth and divine calling of John- The hidden years of silence and wilderness formation- The thunderous preaching of repentance at the Jordan- The revelation of Jesus as the Lamb of God- The spirituality of "He must increase, I must decrease"- The courage of martyrdom and total surrender to ChristEach day includes: - Rich Scripture meditations from the Douay-Rheims Bible- Deep Catholic theology and Catechism connections- Historical and prophetic insights- Spiritual reflections and practical application- Powerful recurring prayers- A structured path toward a final Act of Consecration on Day 33This consecration is intensely Christ-centered from beginning to end. Saint John the Baptist does not point toward himself. He points relentlessly toward Jesus Christ - the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world.Written in a bold, poetic, and spiritually uncompromising voice, BEHOLD THE LAMB speaks directly to Christians living in an age of noise, distraction, compromise, and spiritual exhaustion. It is a call back to the wilderness. Back to repentance. Back to truth. Back to Jesus Christ.Whether you are Catholic, Protestant, a convert, spiritually wounded, returning to faith, or simply hungry for something deeper than modern Christianity often offers, this consecration was written for souls longing to encounter Christ with greater intensity and purpose. The voice still cries out.The river still waits. The Lamb still stands at the center of history.Behold Him.
