Prayers for Every Need

About this book

When your heart is too tired or too tangled to find the words, this little book prays with you. No magic phrases. No formulas. No promises that heaven pays out like a machine. Just the honest way God's people have prayed for thousands of years - the Psalms of David, the words of Jesus, the prayer He taught us Himself, and a few of the oldest prayers from the "lost books" like Enoch and Jubilees. Written in plain, warm words by someone who has prayed with tired hands and a heavy heart, Prayers for Every Need is built for the real moments - the ones you don't have words for. You just find the trouble you're in and pray your way through it, with real Scripture and a prayer you can make your own. Inside you'll find prayers for: - Fear, worry, and the nights your mind won't stop- Money trouble and the weight of debt- Being out of work, and waiting on God- Sickness and pain - with grace for the days you're not healed- Grief and a broken heart- Loneliness - and the night you don't want to be here anymore- Fighting a habit you can't beat- Forgiving someone, and being wronged- A hard decision, thin faith, and a loved one who's wandered off- Carrying someone else to God when they can't pray for themselves Plus a quick-find guide for when you don't know where to turn, the Lord's Prayer, how to pray a Psalm, and a closing gathering of whole prayers from the old books - the actual words the earliest believers cried out to God. A note kept honest throughout: these old writings are treasured witnesses, not Scripture. The Bible always has the final word. For anyone praying with tired hands and a heavy heart: you are not praying alone, and you never were.
