Teach Us to Pray

About this book

This book is written in response to that same ancient request. Whether you are a new believer who feels lost in prayer or a seasoned Christian who senses there is so much more available to you in the place of prayer, this book is for you. We are going to walk through the subject of prayer from its very foundations to its most advanced expressions. We are going to look at what the Bible says, what the early church practiced, and what the Holy Spirit is inviting every believer into today.Prayer is not a religious duty. It is not a ritual you perform to earn God's favor. Prayer is a living conversation with a living God who loves you deeply and desires your company. It is the means by which heaven invades earth. It is the instrument through which God's will is done on earth as it is in heaven. You picked up this book because something in you is hungry. Something in you knows there is more. Do not ignore that hunger. It is the Holy Spirit drawing you into a deeper place with God. Let Him lead you as you read. Do not just absorb information. Let every chapter become a doorway to a new experience in prayer.By the time you finish this book, I believe you will never look at prayer the same way again. I believe chains will be broken, breakthroughs will come, and your relationship with God will be transformed. This is not a book about prayer. This is a book that is designed to take you into prayer.
