The Great Bible Journey

About this book

Can your child follow the Bible's story from Creation to Jesus?Young readers can lose the thread when they meet Noah, Moses, David, and Jesus as separate episodes. The Great Bible Journey gives children ages 8-12 a clear route through 50 connected stories, from Creation to the Resurrection and the beginning of the church.B.H. Bennett retells each scene from a Christian perspective in language suited to older children. They can read a story on their own or share it with a parent or grandparent, then pause for a question and a prayer. 50 Bible stories in narrative order help readers see how one part leads to the next. 25 full-color story illustrations and five illustrated part openings show key scenes. A Bible Trail for every story names the Scripture passages behind each retelling. A Daily Moment of Faith after every story offers a Think question, a small Live It action, and a simple prayer. 30 Family Conversation Cards, a short glossary, and a Bible Trail Index give families more ways to talk and read further. Across five parts, readers follow God's promises through the Old Testament, Jesus' life and teaching, His death and Resurrection, and the first believers. Children can read straight through or take one story at a time without losing their place in the larger story. If brief retellings leave your child asking how the stories connect, each Journey Thread names the next step. You can use the Think questions to start a conversation rather than a quiz, then open the passages named in the Bible Trail when you want to read further.Add The Great Bible Journey to your cart and begin with Creation. Read one story together, talk about its question, and close with a simple prayer.
