One Small Step at a Time

About this book

One virtue looks different every time it shows up.Patience isn't the same at a shoelace as it is in the deep end of a pool. Courage isn't the same in front of a swim teacher as it is in front of a church full of people. In One Small Step at a Time, fourteen short stories - two for each of seven everyday virtues - follow one child at a time discovering what patience, kindness, courage, humility, forgiveness, faithfulness, and contentment actually look like on an ordinary Tuesday. Not as ideas to memorize, but as moments to live. Each story is short enough to read together at bedtime, and closes with a gentle reflection, a matching verse of Scripture (KJV), and a discussion question - no lesson to teach, just a door to walk through side by side. One Small Step at a Time is Volume 2 of the Faithful & Small Series, following A Little Grace - perfect for moms and children who want a few quiet minutes together at the end of the day, and a little more grace for the season they're in.
