Helpmeet

About this book

Two people from completely different backgrounds. One marriage that almost did not make it, and has now lasted twenty years. In HELPMEET, Yusuf and Arlethia Ali tell the truth about what it actually took. The honoring. The enduring. The betrayal they had to come back from. The learning of each other. The choosing each other again on the days it would have been easier not to.Built around eight words that spell out what a helpmeet really is, each chapter opens a real piece of their story, walks through the Scripture behind it, and closes with questions and a devotional you and your spouse can work through together. This is not a book about a perfect marriage. It is a book about a lasting one.
