Rachel and the Night the Angels Sang

Rachel is the smallest lamb in the fields outside Bethlehem, and on this cold, dark night she just can't fall asleep. "I'm just a little lamb," she thinks. Then suddenly, a blaze of light fills the sky! An angel brings the shepherds the best news ever told, a sky full of angels sings "Glory to God," and soon Rachel is bouncing in a shepherd's arms on her way to see a baby lying in a manger. This rhyming Christmas story follows Luke 2 closely. It ends by pointing children to two beautiful names for Jesus: the Lamb of God who takes away our sin, and the Good Shepherd who knows His sheep by name.Inside you'll find: A warm, read-aloud rhyming story with real Bible names and places A clear, gentle presentation of the gospel "Who's Who in This Story," a guide to the real people in the Bible "The Real Story," a simple retelling of Luke 2:8-20 "A Shepherds' Night," a Christmas Eve activity for families A Christmas prayer for children A perfect Christmas Eve read-aloud, and a meaningful gift for children, grandchildren, Sunday school classes and church families.Ages 3-7.
