The Afternoon of Corn Picking

About this book

The little girl and grandma went to pick corn together. They walked on the road and talked about the crops, walked to the fields and talked about bugs, and went home contentedly after breaking the corn. The gossip between grandparents and grandchildren, the warm sun in autumn, the light that slows down in the wind... The two long shadows under the setting sun combine into a thick indelible affection. In reality, the author's grandmother has Alzheimer's disease, and she no longer remembers many things, but in this picture book, she still has a good memory and good energy. She is the quick and capable grandmother in the author's memory.
