Electricity for beginners

About this book

Electricity for Beginners is a practical introduction to the fundamental concepts of electricity and electronics, designed for readers who want to build a strong foundation and progressively move toward more advanced topics. The book is organized into ten chapters covering essential areas such as electrical energy generation and transmission, basic electrical principles, electric circuits, electronic components, digital electronics, magnetism, power systems, control systems, measurement instruments, and electrical safety. Each chapter begins with a clear introduction to the topic and then develops the main concepts step by step with explanations, diagrams, graphs, and review questions to reinforce learning. Some sections also include mathematical procedures and formulas needed to better understand specific calculations and applications.Rather than limiting itself to very basic definitions, this book gradually moves from introductory concepts to broader technical understanding. For that reason, it is especially useful for motivated beginners, technical students, and readers who want an accessible but more complete overview of electricity and electronics.Written by electrical engineer Albeiro Patiño Builes, author of Principles of Electricity, Basic Electronics, and Operational Amplifiers and Other Special Devices, this book serves as a valuable companion for anyone seeking a structured and practical introduction to the field.
