The Princess in the Forest

About this book

In this book, which was first published in 1909, Sibylle von Olfers tells in harmonious, rhythmic verses about the little princess' morning departure into the peaceful forest. With the help of mystical creatures like dew maids, moss lads, and playful forest animals, she experiences daily adventures, learns wisdom, and enjoys the simple joys of life. This heartwarming tale beautifully weaves together nature's wonders, the princess's curious spirit, and the enchantment of the forest, making it a delightful read for all ages.As in the other books by the creator of "Something from the Root Children" it is about the relationship between man and nature. The nostalgic Art Nouveau pictures with their playful, linear style create a children's world permeated with innocence and peace.
